Our Community Involvement

Sacco & Sacco Insurance is independently owned and operated and delivers insurance and risk management solutions in Sacramento and the Bay Area in northern California.  We also serve other areas of California as well as Nevada, Montana, and eleven other states.

Providing first-rate solutions is our first priority and a great point of pride for us.  We also value delivering the finest customer service.   Together, products and services are a meaningful combination in our business, as we work with people on a personal level most of the time and handle personal issues like safety and finance.

We have normal working hours, like many agencies.  However, we don’t do business only during these hours.  We do business when clients need us, whether that’s at one time of a day or another.  Damages, incidents, and claims don’t wait for our office to open, so full availability is a benefit to you.

Our business is about protecting people against risk and the costs of facing risks.  However, our operations are about more than assessing exposures and writing policies; they're about giving back to the communities we serve and creating bonds with people and organizations around us.  This makes us a bigger and more important part of these communities and it also makes us better insurers, as we get to know our residents and our service areas in more depth.

Dave Sacco is a former President and current board member of the Rotary Club of Historic Folsom, which helps raise funds for charitable organizations.  Sacco & Sacco donates annually to the Club’s program to end polio and Dave contributes to the Club’s Thursday Morning Breakfast Club, which raises funds for various organizations.

We’re also active in the Folsom Turkey Trot, of which we were the primary sponsor in 2014.  The Trot is the largest footrace in the area with over 4,000 participants.  The race raises money for the Twin Lakes Food Bank and helps keep residents of Northern California fed.  It sells out every year, and we’re very happy about this.  Dave is passionate about this race not only because it’s popular and helps people but because it promotes a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness.

The Twin Lakes Food Bank is a nonprofit that helps clothe and feed families in Folsom, Orangevale, and El Dorado Hills.  The bank supplies weeks’ worth of food and other materials to families in need and aims to help children in these families have opportunities.  The bank serves more than one thousand people each month and tries to serve an increasing number of people each month.   Together, the Folsom Police Department and the bank supplied more than 300 school children with backpacks, school supplies, and personal hygiene products last year.  It helped these children have greater opportunities to live well and learn.

Dave and our entire staff are passionate about the Twin Lakes Food Bank because it plays such a pivotal role in our community.  It serves and helps more than 17,000 people each year.  We believe, first and foremost, that people need opportunities to live well before they can capitalize on resources and knowledge that can improve their stations.  Ultimately, people who take advantage of the opportunities in front of them can contribute to the world in notable ways, and having these opportunities starts with basics: food, shelter, and nourishment.

Last Thanksgiving we helped distribute 343 turkeys to families who could not afford food for the holiday.   Similarly, at Easter, we gave 200 hams to families who could not afford food to celebrate the holiday.  These are just a couple of ways in which we try to lift people’s spirits and provide them with essential resources.

The Sacramento County ‘Adopt-a-Street’ program, which helps promote the cleanup of local streets, is another organization that helps improve others’ lives.  We work with the Department of Transportation and local volunteers through this program to clean up litter and make sections of unincorporated roadways cleaner.  Our efforts show in that the roadways are less cluttered, more sightly, and easier to navigate.   The program has given us a road sign with our name on it in recognition of our efforts.  We’re very proud of this and consider it a marker of our commitment to making the communities we serve better places.

We continuously look for new ways to contribute to our service areas, and we constantly reach out to new people and organizations in order to make our searching fruitful.  We encourage each member of our staff to engage with our service areas in ways that combine passions of theirs with community improvement.  For example, Dave is a rowing enthusiast and actively supports the Sacramento State Men’s Rowing Alumni Association.  In doing so he supports competitive athletics and a local educational institution.

We’re insurers first and foremost, but we’re active, giving citizens as well. We consider being both of these things integral to our business and to our lives.

We look forward to hearing from you.  Please contact us or give us a call to learn more or to speak with an agent.  You can request a quote to get started on a policy.  We’ll get back to you shortly with more information.
